Katie O’Kelly named South Carolina Children’s Theatre CEO

Katie O’Kelly has served as the theater’s managing director since 2022.

Free hot chocolate, Christmas cookies and s’mores will also be available.

In fiscal year 2024-25, Power:Ed plans to award $1 million in grants to South Carolina education and career-readiness organizations.

Each entrepreneur was interviewed and judged on eight criteria including creativity, fun-factor and play value.

Voting for the grand prize winner will be open until 1 p.m. Dec. 6. and the champion will receive $500 in Purina feed coupons.

Construction on the Nieri Family Alumni and Visitors Center began in spring 2022 and is expected to open in spring 2025.

The three-story building was expanded from 34,000 square feet to 49,000 square feet.
